Where has the time flown

I have taken so many pictures and planned so many times to do a new post.  I am going to get back into this because it is more a journal than anything.  So much has happened lately Kaylee started her first day of school.  With a teacher that I absolutely adore.  She has to be the best teacher any of my kids have ever had and there have been alot of good teachers.   Nikki has started her senior year of high school.  And my Ryan is trying to get things together to go back to college.  He wants to be a band instructor in high school.   I am so excited for my kids and all that they have and will accomplish!

It is already Fall.....wow it goes so fast!

Ryan has started college at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville and is loving it!  He has a job and an apartment that he shares.  He is studying music and hopes to teach music as a career.  Nikki is a junior and loves high school so much, and Kaylee has started her second year of Preschool.  I cant believe in less then a month my youngest will be 5.  They are all doing well and enjoying life.

Message for Kelsi

We visited with Brian and Rosanne Caten at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital last night.  Kelsi had come out of surgery and was resting. The tumor have spread throughout the head and brain area and a CAT scan will be done on Monday to determine if it is in other parts of the body.  This cancer is very rare and very aggressive, it is found only 1 in 3,000,000 people. The doctors say that it is "programmed in the DNA" and that nothing could have prevented it. In the meantime the family waits for test results to find out which way to best treat Kelsi. The doctors will take a break from any procedures today to give Kelsi's body a rest from all that has happened. Of course the family is in shock and grief.  They have expressed their appreciation for everyone's concern.

So, brothers and sisters I would ask that you join our Ward in fasting for Kelsi and her family. As the Lord said, "...this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting," Matt. 17:21. This family needs a miracle and they feel very strongly that this fast will be a big part of that. They have felt and continue to feel your prayers and support. Sister Caten has said that she will feel good that we will end our fast, together, at the potluck, tomorrow following church.

I know you are like me and want to help or reach out to this family, but you just don't know what to do. It is hard to talk on the phone while at the hospital. They need to be alert and be ready when doctors and nurses come in. So Sister Caten has said that if you want to contact her text would be the best way to do this. As they said last night, prayer, prayer, and prayers. I know that prayers are heard. So if you find yourself wanting to do something and just don't know what to do then please pray and plead with the Lord.

Brothers and Sisters, may the Lord bless us in our fast and I pray that our Father in Heaven will be with this family.

Thank you all for all that you do.

Bishop Weeter

Please get the word out about the fast. Call, text, email, post on Facebook., etc.

Band Banquet

The high school band had its annual band banquet this past Friday. It was also a masquerade ball. My kids were so excited and had a blast. They both love band and are excited for the upcoming year.
Nikki had her Aunt Chelle take her shopping for a new dress in Murfreesboro. Both Ryan and Nikki went to Aunt Chelle when they realized that they needed masks to wear. Thanks Aunt Chelle for taking care of them and ordering their masks and just helping them get ready for this wonderful experience they had.

Isn't Nikki beautiful in her outfit it just brings out her blue eyes perfectly!!!!
and How about Ryan he got the most amazing mask
And those band people sure have taste look what Ryan got:

Yes (squeal) he got Best Junior award. I do have to say those band people do have taste they see quality when it is there. Yes I am a very proud mommy. I am so thankful for them having something that they both love and are able to do together.

Also on another note Kaylee saw her first rainbow and it was a double rainbow at that.

I have alot more I need to catch up on , but it will have to wait for another day.

This is Kaylee at the jungle jym with her cake that Simply Joy catering made for us thanks Joy we loved it.
Now if I can find a pic of Ryan on his birthday, he hates pictures of himself being taken....

This is him outside playing with Kaylee in the leaves.
We had a great Christmas and New Years. We were able to spend New Years in our new house. And I cannot find any good pics of my new house.
I am so grateful for all the blessings I have received I feel truly blessed and loved.
